Thumbs up Mindy Cohn on the big screen....

I was just thinking yesterday about how she was gonna be the voice of Velma in the New Scooby Doo, well I also thought to myself, wouldn't it have been awesome is she actually played Velma in the Movie that just came out? I mean I don't think she'd be picked because she's never done anything that huge to be on the big screen, but just the idea of seeing her in a theater was great. But the question I want to ask you is, do you think she could have pulled it off?

I said she'd be good, (evidently cuz no one has said no) because she was an extremely talented actress in FOL.

I think she could pull it off. Earlier in her career, like the second-fifth season of FOL she might not have been able to because she often had trouble keeping a straight face, but in the later years she was as strong an actress as anyone else on the set. I think Mindy Cohn is a great comedy actress.

She probably would have done very well... but I don't know *how* well because I haven't seen any of her acting in the last few years except the reunion and the Suddenly Susan episode.

I can't really vote for either option. I don't think she would be perfect at it, but I don't think she'd be a big flop.

I think she's great, so don't bash me or anything... I'm just not sure how it would have worked.

Plus... Velma is brainy, a little "big-boned," kind of the best friend to the cute girl type... which is somewhat like Natalie. I think Mindy would want a change of pace...

that's my $.02

I know that she could've done very well based on the fact that Natalie and Velma are a little alike, and Natalie was created specially for Mindy...I don't think they would've created a character for her that she couldn't do...

but, I also agree that because of that, she might want a change of pace...maybe not...but probably...

If I visualize it, I can see she could probably do it, if she has the confidence, sure I think she could pull it off. I think Mindy has many great abilities and acting is one of her greatest and expierienced capabilities, If that, I think it would be easy for her to accomplish.

Yes, I really think she would have been good playing Velma in the Motion Picture. She does good in about any Movie/TV Series/Animated Series she does.

Oh and IMDB has updated Mindy's filmography.....
Here is the latest:

"What's New Scooby-Doo?" (2002) TV Series (voice) .... Velma Dinkley
Employee of the Month, The (2002) .... Gale
E! Entertainment Special: Who Let the Dog Out? (2002) (TV) .... Herself

According to IMDB, "The Employee of the Month" is currently in production. And I am guessing "E! Entertainment Special: Who Let The Dog Out?" was promoting "Scooby-Doo".
