Here in Michigan we have had a lot of cloudy days lately but not much rain.We usually have large rainfalls in the Fall but not this year so far. One night about 30 years ago we got 5" inches of rain. Our road was under water due to flooded ditches and my son and his friends got in an inflatable boat and sailed down the street. They had a blast! Another year during a downpour while we were away our sump pump quit and flooded the lower rooms in our tri-level. Our new carpet was ruined.

I guess none of the NY'ers don't experience this rain or just don't want to talk about it.

Here in CA not much rain at all but things grow so much in spite ot no rain, sun does it for our giant trees, I just mentioned to the mgmt company that one of our huge trees in the courtyard area NEEDS an major trim. actually wish they would cut it way down, too large for the area where it grows....

Penny, your story brings to mind my years growing up in the East and putting on a switsuit and playing in the Summer rain. Simple pleasures .....
