Post Walter's Threats to Charles

Who all on this board though that Mr. Powell was being too hard on Charles? It was annoying hearing Walter yelling "doorbell" like Charles was a servant. Always threatening to fire Charles. It was downright annoying. Who else agrees?

i agree that it was annoying at times but that is what kept charles on his toes. without walter always hounding him charles wouldn't feel the need to solve all the problems. he was under pressure every episode and that is why we kept rooting for him to get through it all.

The whole thing was jealousy. Walter wanted to be the main man of the family and could not stand for Charles to get all the respect. Personally, I would have told the old man to bag it! LOL

The grandfather is one of the most annoying characters I've ever seen on television. He reminds me of Mr. Mooney from "The Lucy Show", shouting and always threatining. I don't see how he had the authority to fire Charles, either.

I think they should have written an episode where the family finally got fed up with him and put him in a rest home.
