Default Bad delivery driver tales?

This Little Piggy on Sitcoms Online said something like,"I ordered from Door Dash and the Dasher dropped my food off at some random neighbor's house, roughly 10 houses away from me. I called him and told him he needed to get the food from my neighbor's house and drop MY food off MY house. Dasher got mad at ME and told ME off! I was PISSED, LMAO!"

In a similar tale to This Little Piggy, someone said that the Dasher dropped their food off like FOUR blocks away to some complete Stranger's house and when they complained to the Dasher, the Dasher told the Customer to walk to that complete Stranger's house FOUR blocks away and get the food themselves. IIRC, the Customer reported the Dasher, as they should.

An Instacart Delivery Driver bought a bunch of personal stuff for herself using the Customers' Credit cards! A couple on the news were like Jada S bought diapers, baby bottles, baby wipes. We are both in our 40's and only have adult children and no grandchildren. We didn't ask for any baby related items. She also bought makeup which we did not order." Other Customers had similar complaints about Jada S, her adding her own personal stuff using Customers' Credit cards. She was FINALLY fired from Instacart and IIRC, the ripped off Customers got full refunds. People were joking that Jada S must be Will Smith's Wife, but... Will Smith's Wife is named Jada Pinkett-Smith, not Jada Smith. .

A Dasher or a Carter was caught taking a sip out of a Customer's drink! So NASTY, especially since this was when COVID was still heavily a thing!

This was back in 2018 or 19 before the pandemic. Pizza chain announced that delivery they now were offering delivery. Every commercial implied that "we now deliver." What we didn't know was that it's delivery was thru a carrier, DD.

So we paid thru the pizza chain, but the transaction went thru DD. We ordered around 6 and at 7:15, no food and no calls. We call the pizza place. They answer- your order has been sitting on the counter since 6:20. The driver never came by. You can come pick it up yourself or call DD yourself.

Spent a week on the phone because they refused to issue any kind of refund (this wasn't the end of the world as it was around 13 dollars). Finally got transferred to a DD supervisor and he promised a full refund.

And what did Door Dash do?

They reneged on their word. Only got a 5 dollar refund. They stole 8 dollars for doing nothing.

Will never have anything to do with them again.

I would never ever order from that pizza place again. They actually outsourced their delivery service? I would not have done that if I owned a pizza place because I want to hire my own staff personally.

Door Dash, Grubhub and all of that I find ridiculous. It is ridiculous because they deliver food from restaurants that are not set up for delivery. I don’t understand why someone would pay restaurant prices and eat the food at home.

For convenience, especially for multiple People. For example, you might have like the natural Family, Mom, Dad, you, and your brother and sister living in your house. Then you have the extended Family over for a weekend. Your Cousin, your Cousin in Law, and their three children. So, you have 10 people living in your house and you REALLY don't want to cook for that weekend, so you order two Chinese Family meals for $80, 4 boxes of Little Caesars pizza for about $50, a $40 McDonald's Family Meals. So, $160 for 10 people and you don't have to cook for a weekend!
