Why is the judging on some shows strict, but not others? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

On another post i mentioned how sometimes the judging on shows sometimes is inconsistent. On time, on Wheel of Fortune, contestant Robert Forst loses $10,800 by adding "the" in front of ATLANTA FALCONS. But on Super Password, contestant Lisa Brown makes a guess for the $200 puzzle, when the celeb (Bill Cullen) is the one supposed to guess the puzzle. The contestant's guess was right, and they let the help for Bill slip by. Of course, the defeated player, Danna Clements had to be brought back on the next show, because Bert Convy didn't enforce the rules on that one.

They need to enforce the same rules for everyone.

If the puzzle is

A_LAN_A
FAL_ONS

and someone says ‘The Atlanta Falcons’, they’re wrong

If it says

TH_
A_LAN_A
FAL_ONS

and they say ‘The Atlanta Falcons’, then they’re right

I don't know. Other than to say they're as strict as they want to be, or not.
