Perhaps best known for The Love Boat theme song and other hit songs singer Jack Jones was approached by Chrysler in the 60's to appear in commercials to promote a new car that would be known as the New Yorker. The debut commercial for the Chrysler New Yorker appeared in 1962/63 and featured Jack Jones telling buyers what made the New Yorker so great and ends with Jack Jones singing. Based on that commercial alone Chrysler made Jack Jones their spokesman and Jack went on to appear in many Chrysler commercials promoting new cars from the 60's to the 70's. Believe it or not Jack Jones is still singing today and doing concerts around the world but who knew Jack Jones and Chrysler made a perfect team in car commercials so well?
