Antenna TV airing repeats during the marathon - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Why the hell would they do that when its enough episodes to avoid repeating the same ones?

And to make it worst they airing that Lucille Ball Bullshet

Well to be fair, the Lucille Ball episodes were real episodes. Did they not play every episode from all seasons? If there were time constraints for one day or weekend perhaps that is why they could not air all the episodes. Can you air every episode in 8 seasons in just 2 days? But even if they had time constraints it makes no sense to show repeats. Forgive my logic. I just woke up

They aired Chrissy's Cousin twice, first on Saturday Afternoon around 12pm and then again after 12am early sunday morning. I have noticed they havent shown a lot of episodes from season 7.

I am watching now. Its all scrambled. An episode from season 5, then 7, then 2, etc. I wonder how they selected this random selection of episodes. I suppose maybe they are appealing to everyone and not being predictable. You can watch the Roper episodes and then Furley episodes back to back.

Those Lucille Ball episodes should only be for DVD or Streaming. Not for a marathon where people want to laugh. It messes up the flow

I agree. I hate it when on Antenna or Logo they air those episodes in regular rotation. But they closed season 6? And are actual episodes.
I do like they included Episode 1 of Season 2 of the Ropers as a part of Threes Company in syndication. Stanley The Ladies Man is a great episode.

Antenna TV makes a lot of choices which might charitably be described as odd (e.g., the punishing four-day Growing Pains marathon of Thanksgiving 2018). I've watched them for years because they air a lot of shows I love, but the head of programming has some kooky ideas and is obstinate about pursuing them.

For me, any single-show marathon that exceeds the 72-hour mark crosses the line from "fun" into headache territory. Even 72 hours is a lot unless the show is almost universally beloved (like Three's Company). Growing Pains still has a modest fan base, but by the third day of that marathon, I'm sure even they were wondering when it was going to be over.

OMG I noticed that last night too. Logo usually plays more Threes Company and they cut up all the episodes more. I was in shock when I saw that last night. In fact Up In The Air was on 3 times within 14 hours yesterday.
Early this morning during Janet's Secret they showed Jack and Cindy removing all of Jack's clothes from his bedroom before Janet's parents go to the bedroom. That is rarely seen too and is usually cut out. I am not 100% certain but in Days of weeds and beer I saw a quick scene where Jack strangles Chrissy in the garden and says something like she's being attacked by an inchworm. I believe that is usually cut out too.

Yes I saw the closing to Days of weeds and beer. The Ropers fall behind the couch and make out while Janet is there and sneaks out.
