Mike Evans never changed his look?

So recently I was watching Sayonara Part I and Part II. Haven't seen these episodes since I was a kid when they aired on Nick @ Nite in the early 2000s. Back then as a kid I didn't really pay attention to it, but Mike Evans pretty much has the same afro and sideburns that he had on All In The Family. It's crazy because AITF started in 1971 and these were season 11 episodes in 1985. Has anyone else ever noticed this?

Yes he had a afro on All in the Family, 1st season of the Jeffersons and during the 80's which was surprising since it was a new decade

I noticed it. That size of afro was no longer in fashion by 1984-85. It's the last thing I've seen him in so I've never seen him with any other hairstyle. Berlinda Tolbert had a radically different hairdo in those episodes- a rust colored punk styled natural.
