the show ran on ABC from September 13, 1979 until August 30, 1986. the nights were Thursday at 8:30 until July 1980; then it's signature run at 8pm on Friday nights from 1980-March 1983; and then it flipped to Thursdays at 8pm for a month and then it went back to it's standard Friday nights at 8pm slot from May 1983 until March 1985 before shifting to 9pm and then 9:30 in October 1985-January 1986. the show ended it's network run on Saturday nights from January-August 1986 running at 8:30pm opposite "Facts of Life" and or "227" on NBC.
