Seasonal Flu Shots Update

Hearing this a lot that big pharma is working toward a combo shot for the seasonal flu shots....they are now offering a covid19 combo in the shot....so you get 2 attacks to your body instead of 1.. I'd bet most here get the seasonal flu shots. I get the impresson one won't have a choice if they want the combo or just seasonal....they may all be the combo.....

I've done no shots in over 40 yrs.


I can hear it now at the supermarket: the loudspeaker will be offering 15% discount on your groceries if you take the combo.

As far as I can see there is no Combo Covid/19 flu shot, not yet anyway. What is available is the new Moderna Bivalent COVID-19 vaccine or the new Pfizer Bivalent Covid 19 vaccine, both scheduled to rollout, the 2nd or 3 week in Sept 2023. The bivalent COVID-19 vaccines protect against the original strain of the Covid virus and protect against the new Omicron variant.
At this time, a Flu shot is a separate injection.

Well, whatever rolls out we can almost be sure the vaccines have mot gone thru appropriate clinical trials.

Typical Timeline. A typical vaccine development timeline takes 5 to 10 years, and sometimes longer, to assess whether the vaccine is safe and efficacious in clinical trials, complete the regulatory approval processes, and manufacture sufficient quantity of vaccine doses for widespread distribution.


This 5 to 10 yrs has not been seen in the latest rush of vaccines.

Caroline, those are myths, that people, who are against vaccines, like to latch onto. Scientists had studied other coronaviruses for 50 years. They already knew that the spike protein could be targeted by a vaccine, they already KNEW that. That's why they were able to go to work on it immediately. There were already technology in place, ie. networks of clinical trials were in place because of the ongoing research for the HIV Vaccine. That cut down on a lot of time. The vaccines we developed and used during the throes of the pandemic were 95% efficacy. The proof's in the pudding. Right?

I have been against vaccines for decades and there is a major other world of those who believe and think as I do and many in my life circles. You and I have gone down opposite paths on this topic. My daughter feels the same as had such a terrible time pumping so many vaccines into her children when they were born. She feels stronger than ever. She was coerced by their doctor when the little ones were born, oh how I remember it all.

Nothing like our own immune system to build up and keep healthy.

I had one vaccine, smallpox, when I was born and a couple others over 80+ yrs.
