Talking What got you hooked and why do you watch?

I got hooked on the show at first just because I remembered watching reruns of the show when I was little(I'm only 14). I started to watch it every day last summer when it used to come on at 12:30. I had always thought the show was somewhat entertaining, but I had never really loved the show. I had never seen the Pembroke season either though. I started watching and I always liked Scott Baio from Happy Days and everything, but I started to fall in love with the kids. I thought Jason was just too cute for words, and I was so mad when they started playing the Powell season. I still liked the Powells, but not as much as the Pembrokes. Then they took it off the air, but I didn't realize WGN played it until this past summer, and I decided to record all the Pembroke episodes. I watch them practically every day. You just don't get tired of the kids and the whole concept of Charles. Well, there's my Charles life story....yall don't have to write as much detail if you don't want!
Later Dayz and God bless!

You down with the Pembrokes too? I like them better too. E-Mail me letting know if you have all the episodes from the 1st season. I would like to get some episodes with it being my favorite season and all. I met Willie Aames at a Christian bookstore. He was there signing autographs for the new series he started called Bibleman. I started teasing him with jokes about Buddy and Eight is Enough jokes. They were corny but I couldn't help myself.

YES!!! You guys are so right about the Pembrokes with EVERYTHING you said. I never get tired of them either. Like I said in a previous post I remember loving the old show when it ran on CBS and was so happy when they decided to bring it back but then so disappointed again when I found a new family was there. I thought maybe it was just me being prejudiced towards the old show watching it every week and all but now that Jill tells me that she thinks the Pembrokes are better and she was not even born when they ran the old show it makes me think it even more.

Count me in too!

I was only 4 years old during the first season, and I saw the Powell family episodes first, but I still liked the Pembroke episodes better. I also had a crush on Lila -- though my pain was eased when I saw Jamie
