Default Mount Rushmore of Game Show Hosts

On a recent episode of Family Feud, Steve Harvey asked this question: "If there was a Mount Rushmore for game show hosts, who should be on it?"

1. Alex Trebek - 40
2. Bob Barker - 29
3. Steve Harvey - 9
4. Pat Sajak - 9

Who would make your "Game Show Host" version of Mount Rushmore if you could make one?

Bob Barker
Bud Collyer
Allen Ludden
Alex Trebek

Edit: would really like to have Bill Cullen, who was better than these guys but bounced from show to show.

Bill came to mind for me too.

Another noteworthy name from any What's My Line? fan like myself is John Charles Daly (1914-1991).

I think three of the four slots are pretty much a given, Bob Barker has to be there, so does Alex Trebek, and I don't see how Pat Sajak can be left out. So it really comes down to one slot, and I would say that comes down to Monty Hall and Bill Cullen, with the edge because of his total body of work going to Cullen.

A word about John Charles Daly, I don't think anyone could host anything better than he hosted What's My Line. He raised the level of that show and forced all the panelists to bring their A game to every performance, he was simply amazing. So to me he was more than a game show host, he made that show an event, he made it seem important to watch.

It was a very tough decision for me (God knows it was), but my Mount Rushmore of game show emcees would consist of Alex Trebek, Gene Rayburn, Allen Ludden, and Bill Cullen.
