Wasn't The Band the group that sang the classic song The Weight?. That was one of their popular songs and it's been in movies from The Big Chill to Starsky And Hutch

Yes they sang The Weight. The Big Chill is one of my favorite moves

Sad to hear of Robbie's passing!

The Band were a great group. Three other members have also already passed away

, only Garth is left now .

Rest in peace Robbie .

Have you seen The Last Waltz, Penny? Great documentary about the Band and lots of other musicians are in it too!

I have it on DVD . I'll be rewaching it soon. Also saw it first run in the theater in 1978 .
