Default GG Trivia -- 9/4

1. What are Blanche's initials?
2. Name a type of product Rose tested for her job at the TV station.
3. What year was Dorothy married to Stan? (It was actually mentioned in an episode -- Sophia says "Picture it. Brooklyn -- 19_ _. Your first anniversary...)
4. Sophia sat on the park bench with a man. What was his name, and what was wrong with him?
5. What did Blanche bring back from Grammy's house that reminded her of Grammy?
6. Where did Rose meet her natural father?
7. Who was Emma Emmahoffer?
8. What did Dorothy need from Rose to help move the toilet from the living room to the bathroom?
9. The number of children Sophia has MULTIPLIED BY the number of brothers and sisters she has (that appeared on the show) equals???
10. What is Rose's favorite restaurant (she was going to take the girls there when they all moved in together)...

Good Luck!

3. I would like to change my answer. It is either 1946 or 1947.
I think both years were mentioned.

The correct answer was your first answer -- 1948 was the year they were married. In the episode where Kate comes back and Dennis has the affair, Sophia tells Dorothy...

Picture it -- Brooklyn, 1949. Your first anniversary... and she goes on to talk about how Stan forgot the day and came home with lipstick on his collar.

So, it's assumed that 1948 was the yaer of marriage...

Now, we're down to one left... Just exactly who was Emma Emmahoffer? HINT!!!! If you win, you'll get a big goldEN trophy from St. Olaf...

The reason I changed my answer it that the math doesn't add up. I don't doubt that 1949 was mentioned as the first anniversary, but it would be another blooper.

Dorothy was married for 38 years. If she married in 1948, 38 years later would be 1986. The show premiered in 1985, and of course, Dorothy was already divorced.

Emma Emmahoffer is either the person Rose was competing with for St. Olaf's Woman of the Year, or the person Rose shouted to when all four of them were on a wagon to St. Olaf.

I will go with the person Rose was competing with for St. Olaf's Woman of the Year.

Lurker --

I understand where you are coming from on the math. It doesn't all add up. It's the same with the ages of the kids. They look to be MAYBE 30 at the oldest, but yet Dorothy had to have one almost as old as her marriage. So, I dunno. I'm just going by the episode I mentioned earlier. That's when Sophia said Dorothy's first anniversary was -- 1949.

And Emma was the woman who Rose competed against for Woman of the Year. Unfortunately, she was later disqualified because they found a skeleton in her closet.

Mr Emmahoffer.

Ingrid was the woman Rose "called" in St. Olaf. Good call!
