Post Leave Out a Character...

If you could choose, which character would you leave out of the show (either the Pembrokes or the Powell shows)?

I think that either Adam or Lillian could have been left out of the syndicated show and not have made much of a difference.

Cool

I would leave ot the whole Powell family and bring back the Pembrokes. If that couldn't happen then I would leave out Sarah. I think the show is better with two boys and one girl as the kids. I mean, I think that would have brought Jamie closer to Charles, like Lilah was. Because the girl always has that special relationship. The middle person was usually the least close to Charles. I also think that Adam should have been younger(I know they grow up) to start with because Charles has a special relationship with the littlest boy.The only thing the middle person does is offset the older girl's relationship with Charles, so Sarah would have to go.

It would have to be a tie between Walter and Jaimee. They both annoyed me.

Bad answer, IMO. Nicole Eggert was largely responsible for the show's longevity in syndication, and she played her character to a tee. What happened to this board? All of the sudden it's the anti-Powell CIC forum! LOL Now, I love the Pembrokes guys, but the Powells were fantastic too. Both were great shows, but just different. The Pembroke show was more of a warm, family show, while the Powell show was more comedy-oriented.

P.S. What's all this flack with Lillian? Ellen Travolta was hilarious on the show and she's played Scott Baio's mother more times than Reginald VelJohnson (Carl Winslow) has played a cop! She's cool.

Powells all the way!
I just loved that family better!
Nicole Eggert, Ellen Travolta and James Callahan were great!

I love both families, but you're right about those three actors.
