Granny and Mr. Drysdale - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

When I was little watching the show, for SOME REASON, Granny and Mr Drysdale reminded me of each other..... For one reason, I used to always wonder WHY those 2 were always YELLING when they talked lol Do you see much similarity between the 2 characters? I just think it's fun to compare random characters sometimes lol

Another is Granny and Mr Drysdale were frequently scheming sometimes underhanded plans

When I think of these two what jumps out to me is that Granny seemed to see through Mr. Drysdale better than the others. When he wanted something from him, she knew his weakness - she would threaten to take her share of Jed's money out of the bank, and he would give her whatever she wanted.

I never noticed that about them yelling their lines before, but I guess you're right. Granny especially is usually riled up.

About them yelling... I just remember as a kid that's what stood out to me about them... Granny and Mr Drysdale always seemed angry about something lol And yeah, Jed always seemed like he thought Mr. Drysdale was doing him a huge favor by keeping his money for him, but Granny was the only one who seemed to know that Drysdale was getting a huge benefit from it

Also I used to think Mr. Drysdale and Miss Jane were married, and I also thought Granny and Jed were married
