I was watching a Wendy's commercial that featured the rock hit To Be With You and I would like to know whatever became of rock band Mr. Big? Because it seemed that To Be With You was a popular hit when Mr. Big released their second album in 1992 and is the song that is most associated with Mr. Big. Is Mr. Big still together or did they break up?

Mr. Big became a popular band in the late 1980's after guitarist Paul Gilbert of Racer X and Billy Sheehan of the David Roth band decided to join together for a more commercial venture. Their debut album featured the track "Addicted To That Rush". The band in fact opened for Rush in 1990.
In 1991, the band released their second album "Lean Into It" which featured such tracks as "Alive And Kicking", "Daddy, Lover, Brother, Little Boy", and Green Tinted Sixties Mind", as well as "To Be With You". During the grunge era of the 90's, the band found wide success in the Far East. However, the band decided to call it quits after the death of drummer Pat Torpey in 2021. |
