Default All of their families- UPDATED!

I finally found a website to help me with this info!
All the siblings and children are in age order. I don't have the age order for Blanche and Rose's children or for Rose's siblings. They mentioned here in what I think is the age order.

DOROTHY
Parents
Sal- Once said he was her favorie parent, seen in dreams and flashbacks
Sophia- No description necessary

Two siblings- One brother, one sister
Phil- Never seen, a cross dresser
Gloria- Sophia says she's her favorite, but she loves all her kids equally, 'even Phil'

Husband
Stanley- A 'yutz'. Cheated on her frequently, left her after 38 years for a woman "half her age and twice her bra size"
(She married Lucas Hollingsworth at the end of the show)

Two children: A daughter, a son
Kate- Her oldest. She's illegitimate, because Stan and Dorothy weren't married when she was conceived
Michael- Her youngest. Married a black woman almost twice his age.

SOPHIA
Parents
Don't know their names- Her father was as smartmouthed and snappy as she was, he hated Sal for some reason
Her mother was a total spinster, and looked just like Dorothy (Cameo by Arthur)

Two siblings- One older brother, one older sister
Angelo- The oldest of the three, a total louse. May have children, since Angela mentions a niece that is not one of Sophia's kids
Angela- She and Sophia didn't speak for years because of two misunderstandings

Husband
Sal- Was the only husband of the four who never cheated on his wife. Had a severe gambling problem
(She had two other marriges, to Guido Spirelli and Max Weinstock, but neither lasted long)

Three children- Two daughters, one son
Dorothy- No description necessary
Phil- Cross dresser, has a lot of kids, although the exact number is never specified
Gloria- Rich, successful, Sophia calls her the favorite

ROSE
Parents- Adoptive
Gunther- Never actually seen, but we see a caricature of him in a dream
Alma- We see her in an early episode, may have died during the show's run
Her biological father's name was Martin, she met him late in the series

Eight siblings- Two sisters, six brothers
Lily- Blind, but independent
Holly- A real rotter
None of her brothers are seen or named on the show

Husband
Charlie- Cheated on her once (not with Blanche), but was forgiven, and was usually a faithful husband. Never seen

Four children Three daughters, one son
Bridget- Slept with Dorothy's son
Kirsten- Conceived in a sandwich! A little grumpy
Jeanella- Never seen
Adam- Never seen

BLANCHE
Parents
Curtis "Big Daddy"- Seen twice, mentioned often, married a younger woman
Elizabeth- Dead before the start of the show, seen in flashbacks

Three siblings- Two sisters, and one younger brother
Charmaine- Oldest, Wrote a book, was very disagreeable
Virginia- Also disagreeable, needed her sister's kidney
Clayton- Youngest, was gay, married another man

Husband
George- Seen in a dream, cheated on his wife once and had an illegitimate son

Four children: Two sons, Two daughters
George Jr. (Skippy)- Had asthma
Janet- Has three children, David, Melissa, and Sarah. Seen once
Matthew- A young cop reminded Blanche of him
Rebecca- Artificially inseminated, one daughter Aurora

Rose's parents were the Lindstroms (not sure of first names).

Stanley is an EX-Husband...

Dorothy married Lucas, Blanche's uncle, making her Blanche's aunt...

Rose's grand-daughter is Charlie also (named after g'pa)

There may be more. A lot of this was posted earlier in the board. You may want to research it too...

Good job though!

Sophia also married Max Winestock and was married to Guido Spirelli before she left for America.

I thought Charlie Jr was the granddaughter that appeared in the episode where Rose's daughter thought her family was rich, but they weren't.

I was FINALLY able to get it all correct.

Thanks to the first people who replied, for helping me with the corrections.

BTW: Blanche mentions a couple of other sons, but that's just an error by the writers.

Blanche should have three more sons. Remember in the "pig" episode, she mentions Bo, Biff and Doug.

Well, a lot of what you posted are errors by the writers. None of their families backstories were ever all that concrete. Blanche mentioned several sons, none of whom are ever seen. Almost every season we met someone else Sophia was engaged to before Sal. The ages of Michael and Kate fluctuate, and I know in at least one episode Michael is mentioned as the oldest. Sophia mentions several other brothers over the course of the series. Rose's kids changed quite frequently, except for Kirsten who was always mentioned when she spoke of her kids. Their grandkids are all messed up too. I mean, The Golden Girls is my favorite show but if you try to piece the character's families and backstory together you will just get confused because the writers and the producers never really concerned themselves with continuity.

We also know that in The Golden Palace, Rose's husband Charlie looks exactly like Eddie Albert
