Default Why is Francis on this show?

I don't see why they need this story line. It doesn't serve any purpose. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I too have never been a fan of the entire Francis storyline. I never really had much sympathy for his character, since he was such a troublemaker they shipped him away, yet he continued to buck authority and blame everyone else for his problems.
Now that he's left school and is in Canada somewhere, things really have gotten dull. Either bring him home or find some other storyline for him. The lumberjack thing is not working...

I used to think the whole Francis thing was really annoying and disruptive to the storyline but I think some of the segmants are quite funny. I think it was a bit obvious in the second season thought that they were out of ideas for things for him to do at Militery school.

The third season comes over here at the end of September, I didn't know he had gone to Canada.

some of the story lines for him are funny but they need to find something better for him.

Maybe they could have him come back home and get a job somewhere. He could rent an apartment with somebody and they could set up a whole new story line. This way he would be close enough to the family that he could still interact with them.

I would advice jethro not to read this since he hasnt seen the season yet. Yeah he got married but i think he broke up with her, altough i'm not sure. The last episode i saw of it they got into a big fight and realzied they got married too fast.

Thanks, I just saw the top line of your post so I haven't read it.

It's really annoying that we have to wait so long for it over here!

That must suck to be a whole year behind on the show. Is it like that for every american show that is aired over there?

It's like that with most of them. The new series of Malcolm is only on cable in September but it doesn't even come on to normal British Television until Summer 2003! Meaning it's 2 years old by then. It's the same with Will and Grace.

I don't know how it works because I know that it only takes Simpsons episodes a few weeks to come over here.

Nevermind what I said before I just saw the season finalie again and it has francis and his wife in a car going somewhere new with $3,000 so they are starting a new storyline for him.

Francis's parts are usually funny, but sometimes they get terrible.
I think the funniest storylines are Dewey's.

Anyone notice that Francis is working for a woman who is just like his mother? She has that same psycho control freak thing going. His wife is like that too. Don't the writers know any other types of women?
