Music Taylor Swift Makes History as Female Artist with the Most #1 Albums

Taylor Swift Makes History as Female Artist with the Most No. 1 Albums
by Lisa Respers France, CNN
July 18, 2023

Taylor Swift is breaking records by making records. The superstar pop singer has now broken the record for most No. 1 albums by a female artist, according to Billboard.

By notching her 12th No. 1 with “Speak Now (Taylor’s Version),” Swift has surpassed the former record holder Barbra Streisand, who had 11.

That’s not the only history Swift is making.

She is now also the first living artist in almost 60 years with four concurrent albums in the top 10, while also becoming the first woman and living soloist to have 11 albums concurrently charting on the Billboard 200 chart.

I didn't really know who Taylor Swift was until I read an issue of Country Weekly and they had a section on hot new country artists and they mentioned Taylor Swift's debut album and the more I read about it the more I wanted to learn more about her. So for my birthday I got Taylor Swift's debut album and was amazed at the song Tim McGraw and for a teenager at 17 Taylor knew she could be a teenage country star. And since then it's hard to believe Taylor Swift has gone on from country star to pop artist and I think she copied Leann Rimes because like Taylor Leann experimented with pop with her I Need You album and her Twisted Angel album and starting with her Red album Taylor Swift expanded to pop quickly. But I think as the years go by Taylor Swift will still be a huge name in pop music for years to come

Surprisingly, Taylor Swift is doing something what many female music artists(who came before her) should’ve accomplished.

I hear a lot of talk about Taylor's life and how abnormal it is. Fees I'm hearing for her concerts here in So. Cal...are outlandish. The clothes thing, omg///

All those before her did just FINE with their lives and had I believe more rounded lives....

I also knew Taylor was going to be a huge Megastar when she was 17. She had that "It," factor.
