I'm only a sporadic poster, so this may seem obvious to others, but I still want to at least ask.
For those of you who went to private school & had to take an entrance exam, how did it go for you? What I truly mean is best explained in examples from the show: Going by Tootie's supposed age(Kim Fields was 10 when hired), would they really expect her to take the same entrance exam as: Blair-(who said in the Interview Show she'd been at Eastland since she was 12)& scored a 96. Yet, she tried to compare her score to: Jo-who took an entrance exam at age 15-16 & got a 98 (I'll allow for her test maybe being tougher because she was also going for a scholarship) Did the math(Natalie clearly says Tootie is 17 in her graduation episode), so Tootie was almost definitely 10 in season 1. I know overthinking, but after seeing episodes multiple times, that's probably going to happen, right? |

Eastland and real schools like it, such as Westlake have a minumum age of 12. Blair was that age when she entered Eastland. Tootie was 12 in Season 1 and Season 2. Eastland had a different calendar then elsewhere on earth. They have different entrance exams for different ages and grades.
