There has been much speculation about her death. The first reason for her death that surfaced was that the club's president was stealing money from Selena's fashion designer company and when Selena went to confront her with it, they began to argue and the president pulled a gun on her, supposedly just to scare her, but the gun went off. However, they later said that when Selena tried to run out of the room, Yolanda, the club's pres., shot her before she could get out.

Another story about her death is that Yolanda was sexually attracted to Selena and when Selena refused her sexual advances, Yolanda shot her in a fit of rage and jealousy. I wouldn't doubt about this story being true, Yolanda does look like a lesbian.

Like I said, those are only speculations. Only Selena's family and Yolanda herself would know the real reason why Selena was murdered.

Those are the stories I've heard. Does anybody else know or has heard other stories why she was killed?

Okay...for the past five years I have been a huge fan of Selena. I too have tried to figure out why Yolanda Saldivar killed her. I've read books, seen documentaries, everything. And the idea that makes most sense to me is this: Yolanda felt that if she couldnt be with Selena then nobody else deserved to be with her either. Many people say that Yolanda was in a way obsessed with Selena. Selena had made plans to fire Yolanda for embezzlement. Yolanda had been stealing money from the fan club. Yolanda knew that Selena was going to fire her. Many people had warned Selena about Yolanda. They knew that things werent right with Yolanda.

Nobody really knows why Yolanda did it but Yolanda. She was never given the opportunity to testify at her trial. And every time she does speak about it, she comes up with a bazaar story. But what ever story she comes up with, she’ll always say that it was an accident.

......Wanna hear something real bizarre?

Well, ya know how Selena's mother and father were Jehovah Wittnesses, right? You know how Jehovah's do not believe in blood transfusions, right? Selena did NOT die from the gunshot. She bled to death. Selena and Chris were Catholics; Abraham would not let Chris donate blood. If Selena had gotten blood, she would have lived. That's why I hate her father.

I know if she HAD gotten blood it would have been going against his beliefs, but what, woud you rather have a dead daughter?

I can see why you'd be angry about that...but thats what HE believed. Selena couldnt have made that decision on her own. And you know what Abe is like...we've all heard stories about him....of course we know that he wouldnt have let Chris have a say in it...cuz Chris was "just the husband" to Abe...I mean, I'm not a religious person, but I can see where Abe's coming from. Everything happens for a reason. It was meant to be. In essence, Selena has touched more lives in death than she did while she was alive. After her death, people knew who she was (which is kinda sad) and people payed attention to her. I'm not just talking about the Hispanic community but people EVERYWHERE. For the first time, people (other than Hispanics) said, "who's that?" and it made them curious. And as their curiosity peaked...they wanted to find out more about her. It was meant to be. It would have happened whether she would have gotten the transfusion or not. She would've died at some point. Abraham did what he felt was right. I'm sure it was a tough decision, but if I were Abe and I were that religious and I really believed in my faith that much, I'm not sure that I would have done the opposite. So I see both sides....I'm just...u kno wut i'm doing? I'm rambling so i'm gonna shut up now..........

I didn't know that either.

I don't share his beliefs so I can't honestly say, but I would think my daughter would mean more to me than beliefs.

She was married right? So that would mean her husband would have the legal right to say if she should or shouldn't have the transfusion. So the whole story about the blood tranfusion doesn't make sense to me.

That's right, her husband would have the legal right to say if she should or shouldn't have the transfusion. But, Selena's father is known to be a very strict, cold, and domineering individual. I wouldn't doubt it if he intimidated Selena's husband into not having a say so.

Also, her father was always opposed to Selena's marriage. I wouldn't doubt it either if his opposing her marriage had to do something with her murder.

Exactly, that was one of my suspicions when this happened. IMO, Selena's father saw her simply as another "marketing product" and nothing else.

Ugh I hate Selena's father...He is a weirdo One of my friends who lived in Corpus Christi used to park near somewhere i dont remember...But Abe used to scream at my friends husband....I would be so scared if that happened to me lol. I think he should be jointly responsible for Selena's death if he would not let her life to be saved.
