Default Rules Of The SBTB Message Board

First off, welcome aboard. We're happy to have you here.
Second, this is a postive board.
Because of that, we have some rules:

1. BASHING OF ANY SITCOM IS NOT ALLOWED.
This does not mean you can’t give an opinion, but you need to watch how you phrase it. Respect other people’s opinions. This also means no use of the word slut, whore, skank, bitch, etc.

2. WHAT HAPPENS ON ANOTHER FORUM STAYS IN THAT OTHER FORUM.
DO NOT go into other forums and post anything a) negative about negative or b) positive about Saved By The Bell to start trouble. Anything positive that you have to say about either one will be welcome in the appropriate forum. Also if you have a problem in another forum, speak to that moderator about it. Don't come in here to rally troops!

3. DO NOT POST ANYTHING NEGATIVE ABOUT ANY OTHER SITCOMS HERE.
We do not like to fight with our friends on the other board and the moderators here do NOT want to have to delete your thread. All comparisons of sitcoms may be moved to General Sitcoms Questions and Discussions Forum.

4. DO NOT CALL ANYONE NAMES.
That means other forum members, posters and moderators alike. We don't care if you're kidding or not, they will be edited. Everyone on here deserves your respect. This also means do not attempt to tell anyone they don’t belong here. That’s for the moderators to decide.

5. CONTENT ON HERE IS PG-13.
Use common sense when posting about delicate topics. Do NOT be explicit or you will be edited and/or banned. Do NOT attempt to bypass our censor software in any way as well. Also, do NOT speculate on people’s sexual orientations or preferences, artists or board members…that is not appropriate here.

6. DO NOT POST ALL IN CAPS.
This applies to both your topic and your post, if it isn’t an emergency. And an emergency does not consist of polls, news reports or anything else that isn’t a life or death matter. It’s considered yelling and it’s rude. Use of CAPS LOCK is also a pain on the moderators’ poor eyes. We have to read every post so please help us out.

7. DO NOT CALL OUT OTHER MEMBERS OF THE BOARD.
If there's a problem, we'll deal with it. If you really feel the need to say something, do it via PM or report post. There is no place on this board for threads started merely to single out a member for something they say or do, unless TJ, or any other moderator for our own reasons, to make an admonishment public. Don't do our jobs for us.

8. USE OF THE REPORT THIS POST TO A MODERATOR LINK.
Use this if you have major concerns about a post in any forum. Do not overabuse it however. Whatever you do, don’t quote a post that will likely be deleted just to point out how bad it is. That just makes more work.

9. THE MODERATORS DON’T LIVE HERE.
One or the both of us is on a lot, but there is absolutely no need for anyone to ask "Where are the moderators?" when something's happening. We're probably sleeping or eating or talking on the phone or working or showering or cleaning or out having a good time, doing any of the things you do when you're away from the computer for more than 5 minutes. When we get on, we'll take care of it. If you have grave concerns, PM us or report the post. Beyond that, ignore it or just keep your pants on. There’s no need to call for us or put a post on there talking about how this thread will be deleted or closed. You never know what we might do. Just back out of it.

10. DON'T APOLOGIZE AS YOU BREAK A RULE.
If you know you're doing something you oughtn't, don't do it. All you do is make our lives harder and work a nerve when you say "Sorry mods, I know I'm not supposed to, but I'm doing it anyway." Along the same lines, don't post something and then ask us not to close it. If it breaks the rules, it's getting closed...period. Good intentions or not. You asking us not to close it only shows us that you have no respect for us or for the rules that you would flaunt an abuse like that.

Breaking ANY of these rules can lead to you being temporarily banned or blocked, or at the very least edited. Please don't make your first post a closed one. It DOES NOT make a good impression with the regulars here or with the moderators.

Thank you for reading the rules and have fun posting at the Saved By The Bell board!

BTW, don't get scared, I am a nice moderator!
