Richard Karn's Orchard Supply Hardware commercials

In the 90's while Home Improvement was a hugely monster hit sitcom Richard expanded his career to do commercials and since he gained a lot of home improvement knowledge from the sitcom of the same name Richard Karn began to star in commercials for Orchard Supply Hardware or OSH as it was known. In these commercials Richard shows his funny side as he promoted different sales the store had to offer. The funniest of Richard Karn's Orchard Supply Hardware commercials shows him dressed in vacation clothing to promote Orchard Supply Hardware's Hawaiian Vacation Sweepstakes. To be honest I didn't even know that Richard Karn was a spokesman for Orchard Supply Hardware in these commercials but little did we know it would soon make a commercial superstar in the years ahead. Orchard Supply Hardware or OSH went broke in the 2000's but have made a comeback in some California cities by their new name Outdoor Supply Hardware

I had the pleasure of spending a couple afternoons with Mr. Karn when I was on a couple episodes of one of his shows. He was a really nice down to earth guy.

You got to meet Richard Karn? I bet he was filming one of his Orchard Supply Hardware commercials when you met him? It's amazing how Richard Karn turned himself into a commercial superstar after doing Home Improvement and Family Feud and now he does infomercials and I bet when he promoted the Pocket Hose his knowledge from doing the Orchard Supply Hardware commercials really paid off well for him
