Oh No Pat Robertson, dead at 93

I don't have much to say to the founder of The 700 Club...except he just died.

Why I think Pat Robertson made a huge name for himself is so he could be famous as Billy Graham and try to build an empire. When he launched CBN/The Family Channel Fox Family Channel/ABC Family Freeform and The 700 Club Pat Robertson knew that these things would make him famous and it helped. And when The 700 Club made it's debut on CBN people could see that this would be the start of an empire. And with Christian singers such as Michael W. Smith Amy Grant Kathy Troccoli and Sandi Patty making appearences on The 700 Club he knew that with a show like this he could attract an audience. Soon Pat shared competition with TV preachers such as Creflo Dollar Jr. Frederick K.C. Price and Kenneth Copeland and even with those preachers making a name for themselves on TV Pat Robertson still proved himself worthy. It's hard to believe that The 700 Club is still the longest running show on TV and I wonder who will replace Pat Robertson as host of the show?

It'll probably be like when Ernest Angely died two years ago, Grace Cathedral took-over the job...I won't doubt Brock Miller filled-in Angely's shoes despite revealing his unorthodox debaucheries.

It probably won't be like when Billy Graham died, his children were the heirs...I'm certain that Andy Stanley took-over In Touch Miniseries when his father Dr. Charles Stanley died about a month ago.

And...most televangelists have owned TV stations...Jim Bakker once owned Nickelodeon when it was Pinwheel!

Billy Graham is not like that at all. He was not after fame or building an empire, he cared about souls. Billy Graham was a rare once in a lifetime evangelist with his crusades saving thousands of people.
