What's the history behind Prince's Diamonds And Pearls?
I often wondered how Prince came up with the song Diamonds And Pearls and how it came to be a 90's hit? I think it's a cool ballad and the guitar solo brings out a fun sound and gives it a superhero movie vibe. Diamonds And Pearls is also my mom's favorite Prince song too. Was Diamonds And Pearls inspired by Prince's love for his former wife at the time? Because the lyrics say "If I Give You Diamonds And Pearls would you be a happy girl" Also was it also a duet? Because I noticed that Prince sang with a woman named Rosie Gaines who was a background singer in Prince's band and it makes the song neat
