Default TMC Please stop spamming this board with links to that other site.

All you do is monopolize this board and your posts only bait people into going somewhere else. The body of your posts is always set up that way. Quit sending people to screen rant. Try discussing the topic of your posts ON THIS BOARD, ok? Just give it a try. Of course, you're not here to discuss, are you? NO, you're here to hijack and re-direct.

I very strongly agree. TMC seems to monopolizing this board with links to his site and I feel that this and any of the message boards on this website are for discussion among the members and should not be used for spamming.

If you listen to TMC, it has little to do with Young Sheldon and MORE to do with Big Bang Theory. It's like every damn thought or action that the writers put out on Young Sheldon just has to make sense to TBBT worshippers - OR ELSE!!!

Truth is, this show kind of stands on it's own. The way this will end is that some of the basic canon will be observed but I'm pretty sure a lot of it won't fit in with the idealism that exists with TBBT w'ers. It's like they think that Young Sheldon owes everything to their show and nothing original is allowed to spawn from it. Granted, I'm deviating from the actual problem that I have with him monopolizing the board but Mr. Television asked something that I really hope he was kidding about. It's obvious that every link TMC puts up re-directs to a site dedicated to TBBT canon. Yeah, a show that ended four years ago that even though it begat YS, it doesn't mean that every last thing that happens on YS has to fit into the parent show's canon. It gets old and this board for YS looks uglier than hell because of it. I mean, enough about how sad someone looks because something happened on YS season 6 that makes that character look pathetic on TBBT. I really think that people who come here because they like Young Sheldon really don't care if every last thing that happens on YS fits into TBBT canon or not. They actually like this show for what's happening in it in the here and now. No need to hijack us elsewhere.

In my opinion, spam isn't spam until the stuff being left behind has absolutely nothing to do with whatever is supposed to be addressed at a forum. Therefore, the only thing that TMC is really guilty of is staying on top of things here. If anything, TMC should be appreciated, at least in my own opinion anyway and yeah, my opinion could very well place me in the minority because I have been there plenty of times before, but I don't care. If there is anything that I have learned in life, especially over the past couple of years, it is that everything on the planet can and does have a fanbase.

God bless you and TMC always!!!

A reminder, too, if anyone finds another user's posts annoying, they can use the User Control Panel (User CP), Settings & Options, Edit Ignore List, and put the user on their Ignore List.

This works for the user, but unfortunately in this case it still damages the boards. Compared to a few years ago there are fewer discussions and fewer usesrs that aren't as active as in the past.
I think it is "discouraging" to enter a board and see a list of threads that are just links to other sites. The few active discussions are flooded and quicly fade in page 2, 3 and so on and the discussions die with this.

Our current sitcoms message boards have never been very active. People seem to discuss them more on social media or other forums. The members of our community seem more interested in classic sitcoms.

TMC's threads are relevant to Young Sheldon. His threads are sort of a historical digital archive of related news and links. Anyone is free to reply to them.

I don't see many others creating threads on this board. TMC has started 434 out of the 508 threads on this board. He is essentially carrying it on his back to keep it somewhat active at all. The problem is that we have many threads, but not too many active posting members.

Adding him to your ignore list would make them completely hidden while logged in. You would be missing out any others' replies.

I remember TMC from the IMDB boards when those were a thing. It used to annoy me a bit, but I grew to not care, and appreciate it. Sometimes his posts do generate discussion even if they link to sites like ScreenRant.
