With the rise of artificial intelligence these days what would you think of a "Bob Stack" hosted spinoff of an Unsolved spinoff; kind of on the lines of Disappeared meets Forensic Files?
I think its time to stop trying to recreate Unsolved because times have changed and it is so iconic but the old format we crave just doesn't work now. However, Bob could definitely live on via AI as host of a new show. Is it a reach or no? |

The show was what it was, and even with Stack, it started to get bad in later seasons. There's no way of recapturing something as wonderful as UM in its heyday. You answered your own questions well, I think.

If using AI Stack as a narrator, then I think it's worthy of consideration.
I think there's enough of Bob's narration and affect to be fed into a database for the AI to build an almost complete repository for future shows. I don't think we need some hologram bouncing all over the screen, but his narration (any narration would add value to future mystery shows) would be welcomed. |

For an increasingly terrifying "put words in a dead guy's mouth" technology that will surely destroy us all someday, this is actually the first good use I've seen suggested!

It would be creepy but I would watch it out of curiosity.

AI dude thinks they need better storylines.
AI dude unleashes increasingly complicated murder robots. Unsolved murders skyrocket. AI dude gets job security. |

No. That stuff doesn’t feel organic. Another thing is that I don’t think it’s ok to take liberties with someones likeness and put words in their mouth. They’d be better off just finding a living human being who can do the job. There is no way to recreate UM with Stack.
