I watched the haunted house ep. last night. It' s one of my favorites.
I thought it was strange for Wally to play baseball in dress pants and a nice shirt. Wouldn't he have a uniform? And it seems like Ward and June never go to any of their boy's sporting events. Like the ep. when Wally drove his dad's car to a track meet out of town. And there has been other times they have come home from games and their parents didn't attend. Everthing must be in walking distants in Mayfield. lol I'm constantly running my kids all over town. And our's is pretty small.

I don't understand about the slacks and no uniform, becuase when wally came back from his game, he was IN his uniform and June talked about washing it after he took his bath.... which brings me to another question, how old is wally during this season, what season is this actually anyways, and why doesn't wally take showers instead of baths? or was the thing to do to take baths?
Toodles! |

Regarding the subject of baths: My parents were of the same generation as Ward and June and that generation took baths instead of showers (I think alot of homes in their day didn't have showers) So when I was growing up in the 50's and 60's I took baths too because how I was being raised even though our tub had a shower in it too. However by the time I was an older teenager I started taking showers because thats what our generation did. So I think the Cleaver boys just were raised with the idea that you took baths to get clean instead of showers. Plus the writers were raised in the "bath generation" too.

I don't mean to split hairs but, Wally came home in his baseball uniform on Gilbert's first appearnce and June said that to him. In the haunted house ep. he came home in his street clothes, a ball glove and hat.
