Default Good lord, Robert De Niro is a 79 year old new father! :O

This is creepy. Robert De Niro is 79 and just became a Father tona newborn. Robert is most likely going to be DEAD by the time the baby starts COLLEGE! To put this into perspective, my Grandmother became a great grandmother at 79!

Wow. My dad was 39 when I was born, and he was one of the older dads among my grade-school friends...!

Another example of self righteous celebrities who preach to you how to live yet are completely selfish in their own lives.

He'll be lucky to make it till the kid's ten let alone college. It's not like he doesn't have any other kids. He has them scattered all over with different women.

Somebody I know from the cigar lounge I hang out at became a new dad at 59.

He has children with his first wife who are now in their 40s and 2 grandchildren. His current wife is 42, roughly the same age as one of his daughters.

DeNiro can do what he wants, and he's carrying on the name I guess. He's paying, so what does it matter, and older men go after younger chicks anyway, and if they meet a younger gal, who wants a baby, then?????? The new baby is not for him, but for the gf. Who will be a caregiver to him.

He has 4 grandkids.

Lawd. Someone please put this man in a mental hospital. Or better yet, a nursing home.

Hell, I’m surprised he hasn’t landed in a coma just thinking about having another child at his age.

His part in his decision is he will pay, she will be fine financially. You don't get it???? Good on him for being able to do what he's done at 79, if all this is true. He comes across to me as a healthy old man. Put him in a mental hospital, for what, being too healthy.

He is obviously LOONEY TUNES if he’s going through with something like this. LOL. How selfish is it for him to deprive a child of possibly having a father in his life? I mean, it’s embarrassing that he’s willing to be a father again at damn near 80 years old because someone young thing obviously has the hots for his money and not him.

He is not looneytunes, in your mind I guess.

Good lawd, the dead beat sperm donors out there.....TVL, ever think of this?

There are so many children with both parents and are so screwed up and so many with fathers who impregnated women and ran away......never have given a penney for their kids and yet any of their time. They are worthless.

Exactly. Liberals want to pretend that having a father isn't important because a good portion of their constituency have none and they want people to believe that the nanny state will take the father's place.

America started to decline when having out of wedlock children became popular. "He my baby daddy" is one of the most despicable phrases in the English language.

IDK?? I think it's kinda sweet ! A man can be any age and be a Father as long as he can " perform" ! And he of course has plenty of money to support a child , and when he passes will leave the child well off !

As long as his wife is young enough !

I sort of have an ethical issue with this since he will more than likely be dead before the child graduates high school. He will be 97 when this happens. Is it fair for a child to be raised by an elderly parent? Only so much they can do. DeNiro is wealthy so he can hire out help to do the dirty work and he has a child to play with and love.

Tony Randall was married with his first wife for over fifty years before she died and never had children. To Tony get married to a younger woman to be a father in his 70’s and he died when his two kids were in elementary school. Is that fair on them? They will not know much about their father besides reruns of TV shows.

James Doohan of Star Trek did the same thing, conceived a child in his 70’s and then dying before that child reaches high school.
