Default MTV and the VMA

MTV has it's own self promotional gold mine. They can advertise their VMA show hour after hour without paying ad dollars by airing program after program of past VMA moments. It's much like the Superbowl Sunday promos and programs that go on for about two weeks.

No kidding. Besides that, they have all the millions of dollars coming in from the advertisers. Geez...they have go to have the longest commercial breaks in the history of television. That was kinda OT, but anyways...

Frankly, MTV has run the VMA's into the ground for me. I am so bloody sick of hearing about them that I would probably vomit if I actually watched them this year. I mean usually I enjoy the VMA's, but both MTV and MTV2 have been airing past VMA-related stuff like non-stop for about a week now, and that's not even counting the thousands of commercials I've seen for it and the incredibly annoying picture of Jimmy Fallon on my local paper's TV guidish thingy.

Don't forget that after the live broadcast, MTV will show it at least three more times over the weekend!

Oh joy!
