Fred missed this opportunity to get rich
In the episode "Steinberg And Son", Fred hired a lawyer to sue NBC for copying their lives, business and friends, and put it on national televisiion. The lawyer said they could sue the network for one million dollars. Even in a meeting, the legal team at network admited to the executive that Sanfords have a good case for a lawsuit.
So when the network executive asked Fred what he want from them. Instead of asking for lump sum of money for character defamation, he said he want to play a part in the new show "Steinberg And Son". And plus $200 a week for acting in the show. Network got smart and canceled the show all together. So not only Fred missed opportunity to sue to get some money, he didn't even get the $200
