I just saw the highlights. I know many people don't care about this but I love History and this was a historic moment. I only wish that it was Diana under the Queen's crown but that would never had happened since they had divorced before her death.

Oh that happened, I missed it, and quite honestly tired of the Royals , could say more but get my message?
The other sides: https://www.nbcnews.com/news/world/c...athy-rcna83175 One major reason for the protesters, is the cost that citizens will be paying, like 125Million, in times when the citizens are having struggles to feed themselves. |

He is King Charles III. His ancestor King Charles I was beheaded in 1649. Very sad about Diana. Charles and Diana were leading separate lives from 1987 until her death ten years later.

I stayed up and watched about four hours of the Coronation since I am a history buff. It was a lovely ceremony.
I wish I was there

I taped the BBC coverage. I'll watch (and probably skip around) later.

I got up early enough to see about the first 3 hours, before having to hit the road for the Calumet area (east of Chicago). I was a little disappointed, when I watch programming emanating from Great Britain I want to see U.K. hotties like Victoria Beckham, Rachel Riley, or Carrie Symonds Johnson.

I didn't watch any of it, but did read several stories about it. I just wonder who thought to have Camilla, to wear Princess Diana's jewelry, was a good idea? I did watch the entire wedding between Diana and Charles back in July 1981. I always wondered how Diana was ever able to walk in the dress with that very long train? |

I recorded it and watched it last night. It was kind of dull, but seeing the crowns and the ermine robes was pretty interesting. BoJo and Carrie were there.

One of the U.S. news people doesn't realize there are only 2 syllables in the word "vestments." Repeatedly "vest-uh-ments" by mistake.
I didn't say I expected to see Rachel there; I merely stated she is the type of person worth watching in BBC programming...! 8 out of 10 cats do Countdown, they can do the Coronation too! ![]() I'm beginning to wonder if anyone here has a sense of humor. In a live chat, the subject of Camilla as dominatrix came up. If that came up here, there would be a verbal crucifixion of sorts.

You took it a step further, you actually recorded one, and her name is Camilla. Whether you realize it or not, the type of woman you're railing against is now the Queen of the British Empire! Run THAT up your flagpole and salute it!
![]() Do you watch to see all the horses, or maybe for the poor chaps who have to clean up after them? ![]() If you want to make jokes at my expense, don't be surprised by the result. |

Jill is not my first lady and since I'm not a Brit I can't truly say how I'd feel about the royals today and Queen Camilla. I've met a few Brits on forums in my life and they were not too enthralled with the royals....
