In the movie Goodfellas, many of the boys are in Federal prison living in their own room where they can cook their own food, and drink wine and scotch.
The scene where Paulie, played by Paul Sorvino tells the cook (played I think by Martin Scorsese’s father) not to put too many onions on the sauce. Ok. If I was Paulie…… “Put some more onions in.” “Ok Paul.” “Seriously. We have plenty on onions.” “Ok Paul.” “Just saying, we only get so many onions and we are in jail, we can’t just go to the supermarket to get more, and I don’t want our ample suppily to rot without using them.” More or less, put onions in the sauce! Agree or disagree? |

I don't think getting more onions would be much of a problem as they were getting lobster on ice delivered to their cell.

Goodfellas is one of my favorite movies but I rarely stay up nights worrying about their onions.
Actually, in that scene when Paulie says about the wine, "Open the white too", I think 'Save one bottle for tomorrow'. |
