I'm sure I just gave Film Rise a genius idea for free. However, I know I would love for them to get some video updates from cases and new interviews. I know this is far fetched because a lot of the people from original UM cases have passed on, but there are also a lot who are still alive.
Getting fresh takes on segments people took part in and if their opinions changed later. IDK it just seems like a great way to connect the past with the current. I would also like follow ups on the people who were caught and served their time and were released. Would some be willing to talk? This interests me much more than yet another reboot. They would find ways to still use Bob's narration as well. I would name it Unsolved Mysteries:Legacy |

I like the idea. Maybe even mix these cases with a new(properly done) reboot.

I'd like to know what happened to some of the actors who were in the segments as well.

I think it would be great but depressing. Lots of people are gone now.

I would love a 'Where Are They Now' but I have a feeling many of those involved in some of these old cases might not want to relive those times and would rather just put it all behind them. |

If they could avoid stretching it out to 45 minutes of drone shots of their current house, then maybe it could be interesting.

Maybe if it's got cases that are still unresolved.
Sadly a lot of the solved ones all seem to end with "and have been released". |

I would be far more interested in just having the original, unedited episodes released in their entirety.
Others have pointed out the issues. A large majority of participants are going to be either A) Dead B) Far moved on with life and unwilling to participate C) So old and past the event that there is nothing to contribute And of course Hollywood would ruin it just like they did with the reboot with A) Excessive and pointless drone footage because those things exist now (and at this point I would gladly see the FAA ground them all permanently rather than endure more drone footage). B) Stretching a 5 minute or 10 minute story into 42 minutes so they can sell 18 minutes of advertising for awful products and services I would never consume. C) Filling in the story with irritating and poorly done voice-over narration accompanying blurry, distorted images because they can't be bothered to get real actors. D) Long rambling interviews about the subject's personal life which are rarely interesting or even factual in nature ("he was such a good person, the multiple homicide spree was just a phase I swear") The handful of unsolved cases with plenty to discuss have and are being discussed and presented in other media, so not sure UM could add anything to them. As discussed before, a proper reboot is impossible, because the industry economics don't support it. |
