Default Mary's Hair

I know Mary wore a wig in the first season of TMTMS, but her hair on DVD was all hers, right? The reason I ask is, a friend of mine was insisting it was a wig.

I think it's her own, although it is awfully huge in some episodes so I could see how you could think otherwise. And I have a quote by MTM talking about her hair on TDVDS, "There was so much hairspray on my hair you could hang clothes hangers on it" (or something close to that) and I don't think they'd really have to hairspray a wig that much and she did say 'my hair' so anyway, that's what I think.

Thanks, Becki. I had heard that quote too, and that's what I was thinking. (Presumably, Mary would know if she wore a wig or not!! LOL) I was 99% sure it was her own hair, but my friend was so insisitent, I figured I'd make sure.

I remember reading an article in Tv Guide some time ago about hairstyles throughout television history. Even though this doesn't really answer your question, I found it interesting that Mary said they put beer in her hair to keep it in place....

LOL, really?! How funny. I also found it funny while I was watching "The Life and Loves of Joe Coogan" this morning that Millie told Laura that Sadie Stein (whoever that is) thought that she wore a wig. It made me think of this thread.

You know what they say, little things entertain little minds...

Kristen
Remember the episode where Rob runs into Laura's old boyfriend at a golf course, and he turns out to be a priest? Well in that episode, there is a scene where Millie and Laura are in the kitchen talking. Millie tells Laura that a friend of theirs was wanting to know if Laura's hair was real or a wig. Laura kind of dismissed the question without answering it, so I guess we're to presume it's her own hair.

Yeah I did too!! Wow, freaky! LOL! Great minds (if we are that!) really do think alike.
