do you think the show will ever air again on tv??

Although I'd love to se this show back on the air I doubt that it will ever happen. The normal rule of thumb is that a show needs to have filmed at least 100 orginal episodes before it can be sold into syndication. As The Torkelsons only had a brief original run there are far less than the required number of episodes in existence. If you really want to see these episodes again I would suggest starting a petition to get whoever owns the rights to this show to release it on VHS or DVD.

Disney owns the rights to it, so good luck...

Aaahhh ... the Torkelsons; the last thread of hope for the Disney Channel before they totally abandoned the Disney principles and turned into a crappy version of Nickelodeon

Does anyone elses remember Disney in the good old days (circa 1994) when they actually aired good shows, like Avonlea, The Torkelsons, Ocean Girl, etc. I hate Disney now.

Yes, Disney still owns the rights. They haven't sold them just yet.

Doesn't matter TDC may be garbage now, but Disney still owns the rights.

hi i am french and "the torkelsons " used to be diffused with an other title "la famille torkelson" .I watched it only one time cos the series stopped to be diffused immediately after the first episode that i watched.I liked the part of ruth ann so i regret that the series is not diffused in france.If it s diffused on disney channel will it be only in english?
