This might be kind of tough as there are so many great songs. Name only one of your favorite songs each decade from 1950's - 90's. I didn't include the 2000's because I really am not familiar with songs for the last 20 years.
But if you want to include those 2 decades go ahead! I'm really curious as to what your favorites are. Here are my choices; 50's) Beyond The Sea- Bobby Darin 60's) Go Now- The Moody Blues 70's) Heart Of Gold- Neil Young 80's) Easy Lover- Phil Collins and Phillip Bailey 90's) Ain't That Lonely Yet- Dwight Yoakam |

I am adding one more to my list here.
2020-"She Got It Outta Me"-Mason Ramsey God bless you and him always!!! Holly (a girl who only loves him more every day) P.S. I pick that song from Mason because it is the song that made me surrender all where he is concerned, but I love everything that I have heard from him. |

I used to listen to a Platters cassette regularly, so this one did come to mind for me too.
I think this was the only Beatles song my junior high music teacher had us sing regularly. She had met the members of KISS and called them "nice young men." She appreciated current music though she grew up in the 1930s/40s. She liked the "tempo" of Elton John's "Philadelphia Freedom." I'm now a bigger fan of the DB than I used to be, both with and without Michael McDonald. "South City Midnight Lady" has been moving up on my list of favorites of theirs. I like pretty much all of the '80s hits from the U.K. One of my favorite songs of the past quarter-century. |
