Was Ring Ring ABBA's debut album?

For my birthday I got two ABBA albums one is the newest ABBA album Voyage and the other is the Ring Ring album and I have always wanted to know if it was ABBA's actual debut album? I know that Ring Ring became their hit song released first in Swedish then English then Spanish and got them really famous. What other songs were released as singles from the Ring Ring album? And was it one of their popular albums as well?

ABBA's debut album was simply the self-tltled 'ABBA' album in 1974. I have the cassette here somewhere.

Ring Ring was indeed ABBA's debut album, released in 1973, followed by the 2nd album, Waterloo, released in 1974. The self titled album, ABBA, is actually their 3rd album, released in 1975.

I listened to the Ring Ring album of ABBA and I can say it is a great debut and the songs were cute with cute lyrics. And the Ring Ring album has a lot of history behind it too. This was actually the first album that ABBA did together when both members started out being crushes and then becoming engaged couples then marriage followed. Another interesting fact is that one of the songs on Ring Ring titled She's My Kind Of Girl was the very first song that Bjorn and Benny "the two guys of ABBA" wrote together way before ABBA was founded as an entry for the Eurovision song contest but the group they wrote it for lost and then they decided to use it for the album. I also did learn that ABBA almost had a name change because there was a seafood company based in Sweden also named Abba but once the company learned of the group name the seafood company named Abba did not file a lawsuit but gave the group tuna as a gift. Is this true?
