Default this is botherin me

My bio teacher is always saying damn and im really starting to get annoyed. Teachers aren't supposed to cuss!!! He's like "I'll be damned if...!" "Well damn!" .... its not right I dont think. Since when can teachers cuss without getting in trouble?? My teachers last yr would like never cuss.. some came close but stopped because they knew theyd get in trouble... i dont get why he thinks he's allowed to cuss. I'm considering complaining to someone about it.

Wait until you get to college. It gets a lot worse. But you're right, in High School it shouldn't be done. If saying something about it would help, I'd do it.

I've had teachers in high school and middle school that used worse language than that. I had one teacher in 8th grade tell a student he was being an ass.

If he's an older teacher, he might be tenured. When a teacher is tenured, their jobs are most likely secure. They dont have to "dress-up" for work, they can wear sneakers, they're allowed to just give their students paper work to do instead of actually teaching them anything. Teachers like that are usually more layed back. They may feel power at that point cuz they kno they wont lose their jobs over petty little things. Therefore, ur teacher may feel that he is allowed to do w/e the hell he wants. My teachers cuss ALL the time. Gawd...u shud see the substitute teachers....horrible...anyway....hope that helps....

Where I went to school, the coaches tend to cuss more than any other of the teachers. My geometry teacher cussed all the time, telling us to shut the **** up and stuff like that, but someone turned him in. I don't know if he actually got in trouble, but I know he didn't cuss nearly as much after that. He started saying stupid stuff like "Be nice little sheepies and shut the flock up" instead. It really got on my nerves though, nobody should use language like that, especially teachers.

Some of the teachers at my school had their moments too. I agree that a teacher shouldn't cuss at the students. I know that sometimes that you have a few problem students, but you should talk to them in private instead of telling the whole class to "Shut the hell up."

I have a question: do most of you go to public school? Because I have heard that public school is ten times as worse as private school.

Two of my teachers last yr were like this. I cant count the number of times the one told some students to "shut the f*** up" or worse. This one english teacher called some students esssay a "piece of s***"
Oh and my band director endearingly calls me and a few of the underclassmen flutes (somehow he has the idea im their leader...) "the bitchery"

They really shouldnt be like that to high school students, I mean, thats some example they set. Oh, and I go to public school.

Ditto. But Jeff...if this is bothering you, you should probably tell somebody like your principal our counselor or your parents if you haven't already. That might help if they're able to do something. I personally think teachers cussing is just wrong...it's really not a good example to set even if their students are already in high school and college and stuff... I mean..teachers aren't supposed to cuss.
