Default What could have been....

These are some of the show's "what could have been" trivia, as originally intended by the producers. Which one would have been cool in your opinion?

1) Eastlake Academy instead of Eastland School and different uniforms

2) Girls with different personalities: Blair a fast-talking girl from Texas, a dumb Sue Ann, no Cindy, no Jo and no Natalie

3) Mrs. Garrett is the school's headmistress with Kimberly Drummond as one of the girls in her care

4) "Garrett's Girls" one of proposed titles for the new show

I don't think it could have been realistic if a housekeeper suddenly becomes the headmistress of a posh private school like Eastland

I like #3) Mrs. Garrett is the school's headmistress with Kimberly Drummond as one of the girls in her care. Considering how the show evolved, it would have been very believable given all the times Mrs. G caught someone breaking the rules and then having those one-to-one talks (which always included facing one's mistakes and some sort of punishment/disciplinary action).

Eastlake was too close in name to Westlake School for Girls, the school Mindy Cohn went to and the school they used as inspiration for the show. Perhaps Westlake made them change the name.

Don't forget Nancy O. Molly and Tootie were really developed in the show. Other than Molly was the fast talker with run on sentences and Tootie was the girl on Roller Skates. I think Jennifer was supposed to be the original not so pretty girl that Natalie became. Don't forget about the Crock either. Mr. Bradley was nowhere to be scene.

Charlotte didn't like Dana and thought she would be a bad influence on her girls.

Mrs. Garrett was never suppose to be a headmaster. She was their dorm mother and that was much more realistic.
