Looking for writers... - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Hi. I am looking for writers to help me craft a script that will eventually be sent to the screen writers guild. Here is the main idea for the series:

Bedford -- "The Bedford family (Carole and Marvin) are two people who live in Los Angeles. They are in their 50s and are very much in love. The only bone of contention is her insane desire to be "number-one" and his equal desire to keep her in her spot."

As you can see, it is a Lucy-esque comedy that I am trying to create. I need people to write sketches, or what-nots... Every writer will get full credit for his/her work. Also, if this were ever to air, each writer will get a certain percentage of the royalties for all the shows he/she writes. If anyone has any plot ideas or would like to write any shows, please write them in a script format as follows:

CAROLE IS COMING INTO THE KITCHEN. SHE LOOKS OVER MARVIN'S SHOULDER AND MAKES A SOUND AS IF YOU WOULD THINK SHE IS DISGUSTED. SHE FINALLY DECIDES TO CONFRONT HIM.

Marvin, just what do you think
you're doing?

MARVIN LOOKS AT HER. HE STARTS TO SAY SOMETHING, THEN HE STOPS HIMSELF. HE THEN TAKES A SHOT AT IT.

MARVIN
Lining up girls to take your place.

This is the format that I prefer... it would make it a lot easier to craft a 30-minute script. Thanks!

I want to be a writer when I'm older, how do you send the teleplays to the screen writer's guild? And how old do you have to be?

I really don't think you have to be a certain age but you have to pay money for it to be registered there I think.

I'm pretty sure you have to pay to. Does anyone know how much it as and what it exacliy is.
