Outside the window - Ghost; Lost locket - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

When you first saw these two episodes where did you picture the ghost outside the girls bedroom window, or the place outside Jan's window when she leaned out to look at the stars and her locket fell into the branches below.

Before all the analysis of how the interior of the house is constructed. I used to picture it being around the other side of the house. Kind of above and to the back of where the dad's study is.

In the Jan practical joke episode, we see Jan look out the window and sees the boy's go to the garage to get the mouse. So their room and the kids room window is on the back of the house looking over the back yard.

That's right. But the back yard is really on the side of the family room and somehow behind the nonexistent garage that we in the exterior shots. ��

But are there 2 windows or just 1? Maybe Jan's window faces the true back. I'm not sure now. Hmm.

You are correct. I just watched Fright Night and you can see the carport just past the ghost tree.

But when it was younger I would have assumed that was just something in the neighbor's yard. Either across the alley behind them or to the right side of the house.

They always walked to the right whenever they went upstairs. I didn't know that they would have had to turn left again to get to the hallway, maybe even twice.

I used to swear the BBQ grill would move. In a few episodes they are grilling right off the side porch off the family room. The kitchen is in the background. In a few other episodes it seems in a different location or not there at all. In the episode Marcia goes to the dentist (Dr Vogul), the episode begins with Marcia coming home in the driveway and the grill is parallel to the driveway. But is it an illusion? With that giant row of glass siding doors, would you get a back view of the kitchen there? IMHO it seems the grill is not there in episodes and appears in others in different locations. Maybe I am wrong and curious what others think.

I think the entire Brady house was fluid. Whatever was convenient for that day's filming, a prop guy just stuck different sets together.

I just saw 2 random pictures of the grill and it was definitely a few feet away based on the lines in the patio tiles.

Check out the episode Marcia goes to the dentist. In the beginning, Marcia comes home from the dentist and is prancing around the driveway. The grill is facing the fence and across the driveway. Is it an illusion or if you stood behind the grill at that location could would the kitchen be behind you? I swear in other episodes its parallel to the house and porch, not the driveway.

The driveway is parallel to the middle window. The other 2 slant inward slightly.

To be fair, Alice did not know why they were breaking into the office at night. Not until they got there did Carol explain why she wanted to look at his typewriter.

Did anyone else notice how small Carol's portable typewriter was when Mike was looking at it in his den. It was an actual typewriter but I've never seen one so compact.

And later at the end when Alice was showing Jan how her typewriter typed with the Crooked letter she was also using a portable but it looked more like a standard sized one. And then she was going to fix it with the screwdriver somehow so that afterwards no one would ever know that she had given the gift to Jan other than Jan herself.
