In my box of music I found a Reba McEntire album called Have I Got A Deal For You and it's quite an interesting album released in 1985. The title song was the first single and one of Reba's fun hits. The other thing I learned about this album is that one of the songs is a cover of She's Single Again which was originally sung by Janie Fricke. It is surprising that this album is the most underrated of Reba's 80's albums and aside from the title track no other singles have appeared on any Reba greatest hits albums except for the title track which was on Reba's first greatest hits album from 1987
Was the Have I Got A Deal album one of Reba's least popular 80's albums? Bestie |

Hi LaBestia,
I was just reading your post and it brings back good memories of when I went out and bought that album as soon as it was released. Something you may not know about the album is it contains a song Reba McEntire wrote and was released as the follow up single to the title track. "Only in My Mind" reached number 5 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles chart. It's one of my all-time favorites! I don't believe she has ever released another of her own compositions since then. Anyhow, to answer your question, "Have I Got a Deal for You" was among a few of her least popular 80's albums, but certainly not the least popular of all. I got out my Joel Whitburn's book of Billboard Top Country Albums chart stats and it's interesting to see that she didn't have a Top 10 Country album until reaching number 1 with "Whoever's in New England" in 1986, which was the follow-up to, "Have I Got a Deal for You" peaking at number 27 on the BB Country Album chart. Even the album that preceded it, "My Kind of Country", which produced two number 1 hits, "How Blue" and "Somebody Should Leave", peaked at number 13. Here's how some of her other 80's albums did on the Billboard Country Album chart... "Heart to Heart" #42 (1981) "Unlimited" #22 (1983) "Behind the Scene" #36 (1984) "Just a Little Love" #23 (1984) "My Kind of Country" #13 (1984-85) "Have I Got a Deal for You" #27 (1985) "Whoever's in New England" #1 (1986) "What Am I Gonna Do About You" #1 (1986-87) |

In the write up that you can find here, Reba mentions a song that I guess was done during her earlier days. What album is it from?
God bless you and the lady legend always!!! Holly P.S. I know that forgetting songs is to be expected once enough of them have been put out there, but I can't help but feel bad for the fans who eventually learn that their favorite songs have only forever been swept up underneath the rug.
