Default June's Singing

Does anybody recall which epiosde it is that June is singing to herself. I believe I remember the Beav walking into the kitchen and hearing her singing and then complimenting on it. If somebody could PLEASE recall the name or what the epiosde is about, I will be eternally greatful!

Toodles!

I don't know what episode that is. The only one I remember with June singing had Wally enter the kitchen and he kind of made fun of her and asked her why she was singing. She told him something like "Even mothers have the right to be happy sometimes" or something like that. I dont know the name of it though.

You can hear part of the song June sings on this episode here:
www.leaveittobeaver.org/sounds
It's the one called "June singing"

Yea, i knew about the clip of her singing at that website, that's what brought me to ask what episode it was from. I thought it was either the Beaver or Wally who came in, becuase you can hear a door closing in the clip, but I wonder what episode it is that she sings, cuz i think she sounds beautiful and i wanted to hear wally/beavers (well actually you said it was wally, so i'll believe you) wally give her the business... So if you find out the name of the ep or what it's about please let me know, do you remember if it's in a old house or the new house??

Toodles!

I am almost sure it was the new house, but I'm not 100% sure. Wally still looked young so it was probably the first season they were in the new house. If I find out which episode it is I will be sure to let you know!

I know which episode you are talking about. I was in another room, and i heard this voice and and I was like wow, that's really pretty, so I went into the room with the tv to see who it was, but the singing had stopped, and I saw June, so I thought my dad had just changed the channel cause I thought it couldn't possibly be her!

I was sure I had this one on my old tapes. It's "Pet Fair"!

Wally comes home and hears his mom singing in the kitchen, so he comes in and says, "Mom-- you were singing!" The song was "I'll Never Smile Again." Wally comments, "That must be one of those songs from the olden days." Later, June asks Ward when that song was popular, and he says they first heard it 1939 in San Francisco. June says they were never in San Francisco. Wonder who Ward was really thinking of

Oh yeah! Now I remember! Thanks tdr, it was driving me crazy trying to remember what episode that was from! "I'll Never Smile Again" must have been a popular song at some point because I heard it on another older show not long ago, but I can't remember which one. And didn't Barbara Billingsley sing the song beautifully? I think Barbara Billingsley had a lot more talent than she was allowed to portray on LITB, not that she didn't show talent on the show!
