Default Favorite Episodes Of Mama's Family

What's your favorite episode of Mama's Family??? I have been watching Mama's Family from the early days on the Carol Burnett Show,to the NBC years, and now the reruns on cable!!
My favorite episodes are the early years, especially the 2nd episode where Vint hocks Mama's silver to bail out Claude Cainmaker out of jail! Especially when Fran comes downstairs and wants an extension cord and Mama asks if her hair dryer would work without one and Fran says I'd have to crouch in a corner! As Mama was looking for the cord, she notices that the box with the silver is gone! And Fran says it does seem to be gone! Mama says,"Oh I see,I say it's missing and that doesn't count, you say it's gone and we can put it in the headlines, "Fran Says The Silver's Gone"!!! Very funny show

I love all the pre-syndicated episodes! As for the syndicated I like: the one where they give that foreign girl a make-over, when Thelma's mama haunts her, when Naomi had Tiffany Thelma, the Bone Crushers and so many more!

I have so many! Mostly from the syndicated series. I don't know the titles but here are the descriptions;

>The gooseberry jam episode(NBC)
>The love letter that gets into everybody hands
>The christmas, Valentines, Thanksgiving and April Fool's episodes
>Iola's new best friend Arlene
>The intercom
>Dirty Dancing
>Bubba's movie
>Naomi gets amnesia
> Vinton and Naomi's wedding(NBC)
>Mama's birthday(NBC)
>Eunice and Mama get thrown in jail(NBC)

Oh! So many!

KRAMER: Woah, woah, woah. What-what did you just say?
JERRY: I can't take it anymore! She's driving me crazy! I can't sleep, I can't leave the house, and I' here, I'm climbin' the walls. Meanwhile, I'm dating a virgin, I'm in this contest - something's gotta give!

Wink "My Favorite Mama's"

Me too! My favorite of all time is when Thelma goes to work at the Raytown Travel Agency- (It's a GREAT day here at the Raytown Travel Agency- May I HELP you?)- lol- I almost have the whole episode memorized!

My second favorite might have to be the one where the escape convict from Juvi- (spelling)- sneaks into Bubba's room then goes downstairs to ruin Mama's Dinner Party. Bonneta- (The Kike)- (spelling)- lol- cracks me up.

I also enjoy Naomi And Vint's Wedding! The Family Feud Episode is okay! Oh- I totally forgot- I love the one where Bubba makes a video for his class about the family- After seeing that, I taped my family and did some awesome editing!- lol-

Mama and the Family on "Family Feud" was HILLARIOUS! Another good one was where Mama went on that local show that had rhyming weatherman and the rooster or chicken, whatever.

Geez...there are so many good ones it'll be hard to say. Some that stand out for me though...

"The Really Loud Family" this is the one where Bubba tapes the family and the camera keeps shorting out. The end product shows the family supposedly talking bad about each other.

Mama: "When I think of my family...all my kids and their kids..." (snow) "it just turns my stomach!...husbands beatin' their wives, wives cheatin' on their husbands, and you know where I place the blame?" (snow) "right with this old lady.." - LOL! That ep just cracks me up everytime!

The freeze dried cat...

Bonita Rokiki the escaped convict..."They wantcha to listen to Barry Manilow while you're watin' for your throat to be slit"..."Inga, shutyourpussorgobacktojuvie!!"

The one where Mama gets the consumer radio show, was just on this week...

The April Fool's ep - lemon spongecake!!

"Mama's Girls" - where Vint and Bubba repair the phone...finally at the end of the ep, the phone literally explodes...Vint: "I'll get it"

The one with the dream sequences about marriage. Bubba's married and Thelma's old and scenile..."Hey! Who was that fat girl"? Iola is Naomi and Naomi is Iola, then the "Rebecca" sequence...

There are so many more great moments and eps, there's just too many to list. As you can probably tell, I'm more biased to the syndicated years. Either way this show was always great, and if there was any actor ever robbed of a well deserved Emmy, or at least a nomination, it's Vicki Lawrence for her role as Mama...talk about playing it to the hilt! She was great...

Also, how could I forget...

The one where Mama & Bubba get jobs at McRay's - those Scottish outfits were hilarious!

The one where Vint thinks he was adopted. The scene where Thelma performs the duet alone is absolutely hysterical!

Ah, there are just so many memorable eps...

Oh yeah! I just remembered my favorite one; where Bubba has that camera from the school and he records everyone saying something? HAHA!! When it finally shows at the end and everyone's statements are turned into something completely different because the camera shuts on and off. Mama is displayed as a negligent parent and a drunk, etc....Haha, this one is so funny...

Yeah, that's the one I and a few others mentioned. Seemed there was a short in the camera...

That is easily my favorite episode...
