The Craziest April Fools Prank in NFL History
Maybe opus can use this idea for next year. He could just quit.
Sam Wyche was quite a character. In 1992, Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Sam Wyche was hired by the team. Three months after taking the job, thanks to a clashing of heads between Vinny Testaverde and Steve DeBerg, before Wyche ever coached a game, he announced that he was quitting the team... sort of. This is the story behind the prank that Wyche pulled on everyone on April Fools Day. |

The best April prank in NFL history was on April 29, 2021, when the Jets took Zach Wilson with the number two overall pick. We’re still laughing over that one
