Heard about this show at the Improv Olympic in Chicago - sounds funny. I guess it starts in October.

It will be a live action show. A play of sorts - with real people playing the Scooby characters. I think it is sort of a parody but the director is a big fol fan so I don't think he is going to trash the original show just bring back fond memories.
It will be at an Improvisational theater near Wrigly Field in Chicago famous for producing Saturday Night Live performers and comedy writers. |

There is a real-life connection of sorts: Mindy Cohn (FACTS OF LIFE's Natalie)
replaced Nicole Jaffe as the voice of Velma Dinkley in WHAT'S NEW, SCOOBY- DOO? There's also an interesting connection between the "Scoobies" on BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER and the "real" Scooby gang. For the live-action movies, they cast Sarah Michelle Gellar (Buffy) as Daphne Blake. |

*giggles* OMG I remember that episode... I believe that was the one where she (Blair) found out her mom had breast cancer...? but oh my Goddess I laughed so hard at this! between Jo saying about she needs a bomb and taking the egg timer to Mrs. Garrett's high pitched, hurried "PLEASE!" omg did Nancy, or ANY of the actors letalone, keep a straight face? Especially since Lisa kept laughing in that ep where Mrs. Garrett threatens to hit Jo with her frying pan (it's been so long I'm losing my FOL knowledge lol I think that was the ep Next Door though...) |
