Default Classic 1978 ABC Tuesday night sitcom lineup

Promo. Back to back to back to back.

Happy Days!
Laverne and Shirley!
Three’s Company!
and of course that all time favorite The Harvey Korman Show (lasted 6 episodes. Doesn’t even have a board around here)

I was thinking about Harvey, how bad do you have to be to not be a 'time slot hit' for at least a season following those other three? Especially in the days before remote controls were prevalent.

Anyone know what they replaced him with?

Soap ended its 1977-78 season in March 1978, and The Harvey Korman Show took its place for three episodes in April.

The pilot aired in 1977, an episode aired in January 1978, and the last episode was burned off in August 1978. The rest of the summer was filled with Carter Country reruns, and Taxi started in that slot in fall 1978.

We have one now.

The show doesn't even have a listing in The Complete Directory to Prime Time Network and Cable TV Shows 1947-Present book.

The original ABC Tuesday night schedule for the 1977-1978 season was Happy Days, Laverne & Shirley, Three's Company and Soap. Soap's last episode that season was on March 28, 1978.

The Harvey Korman Show had an odd scheduling history. The final four episodes were airing with reruns of those other three series. It aired with new episodes only on January 31, 1978.

"Pilot" - 05/19/77
"The One Where Harvey Gets a Job as an Escort" - 01/31/78
"The One Where Stuart Moves In" - 04/04/78
"The One Where Harvey Won't Change"" 04/11/78
"The One Where There's a Hold-Up" - 04/18/78
"The One Where Harvey Goes on a Kids Show" - 08/13/78

We need a TV Facts thread from TVFactFan on it.

I guess I just assumed that was an early season promo. You know what they say about "assuming"

I didn't move the thread. I just copied it over here to populate the board.

Good find with the two episodes. The classic commercials are always fun to watch.
