Default I Liked EnVogue's Theme Song

When this show first came on EnVogue had did the theme song. That sounded so good when EnVogue did it. How come they changed the theme up? Who sang the other theme songs during the different seasons?

In year 2 they had Soul Man, which to me sounded like the original Sam and Dave recording, but I may be wrong. Years 3-5 had my personal favorite theme, I guess because they switched up what mark would say and they had the visuals of the actors clowning. Nell Carter gave a look at the visual on the side of Geneva and Vanessa singing as if to say, "What is wrong with the two of you?" LOL. Tyler was also doing a James Brown dance in what looked like the same green jacket Mark wore in the opening for year 2. In hindsight the music was very cheesy, mid90s electro, though.

Also the first episode I watched straight through had this opening. I don't know who the chorus was that sang it though.

I think Dawnn Lewis either sang part of the theme or had a hand in writing it. Once she left they couldn't keep using it.

I think a part of it had to do with the show moving to TGIF which was more family and kid oriented than other nights on the network.

I liked this theme song too. It was the best one. But then, the last one was almost as good. "Soul Man" didn't do anything for me though.

I'm not sure that has anything to do with it, the show aired at the same time with the En Vogue Theme on Tuesday Nights so I don't think the move to Friday Nights played a part in the changing of the theme.

for me, the first one was my favourite out of the three. okay so dawn left at the end of the first season, but they could've changed the look of the title and still kept that theme throughout

I too liked the En Vogue song, as well as Soul Man. This is one show I'd love to get a DVD release!

Which newer one? There were three different theme songs for this show.
